What needs a makeover?

Advent, the 4 Sundays before Christmas, is a time Christians ponder the world’s not-right-ness and hope for it’s grand makeover some day.

Have you noticed that some things are working right? What things really get to you?

Maybe it’s racial injustice.

Maybe it’s violence against the poor.

Maybe it’s abuse of children.

Maybe it’s the randomness of death or disease.

Maybe it’s the way someone cheated you, or decided to make your life miserable.

Whatever it is, it’s real. It’s good to feel the not-right-ness. To allow yourself to ponder it.

And if you dare, it’s good to figure out if you can hope for something else, someday.
