A city is a web of relationships. We need each other, even when we think we don’t. There are different kinds of need, there are my needs and your needs, there are the needs of strangers and the needs of an entire city. There are physical needs, emotional needs, educational needs, all of which interplay mysteriously with spiritual needs. One thing is for sure: we need each other.
City Life church interacts with a few local organizations that are geared toward making downtown Sacramento a better place for people with particular needs, especially basic physical needs. But in partnering with these organizations, perhaps taking an hour or so on a weekend to volunteer, the common experience is for you to realize: “I need the people who I pictured as needing my help."
The goal of serving at City Life Church is to love and serve our neighbors in their time of need. By recognizing this goal, we hope to be an agent of change and a conduit of healing for the deep wounds that exist in Sacramento.
